No! You don't have to do cardio if you want to lose weight.
If you like cardio, you can add it as a part of your workout but stop thinking that you'll need 60 minutes on the treadmill or on the elliptical machine.

Lifting weight,s will help you to reach your goals faster than cardio. This happens because when we lift, we keep burning calories even 72 hours after our session.
This happens because of the process called EPOC (=excess post-exercise oxygen consumption), and it's what people generally refer to as the “afterburn effect".
Lifting weights will make your body look stronger, leaner, more attractive, you will see your fat percentage dropping, your clothes fitting better and your mood improving.

Either you'll choose cardio or weight lifting, you'll have to have in your mind that you'll have to be on a calorie deficit.
No matter how hard you try with running, jumping, swimming, squating, bench pressing, if you don't reduce the daily calories, you won't achieve much.
Always remember 💡 70% nutrition 30% exercise.💡
If your coach tells you that you need 60 minutes of cardio without anything else, simply seek for another one because he doesn't know what he says.
