Pasta has a certain amount of calories. Those calories will not change if you eat them for lunch or for dinner. You can have pasta no matter the time of the day. Nutritionists recommend to eat pasta for lunch because of one thing. Carbohydrates gives energy. You will need more energy during the day- aka. eat your pasta during lunch. If you eat it for dinner you'll get more energy than you need (and you won't be able to "waste" this energy= you won't burn those calories). In conclusion, whether we choose to eat pasta for lunch or dinner, the calories remain the same, what changes during the day is the body's needs for energy. Tania L.
